SCHOOL EVALUATION MECHANISM

School follows the assessment policy based on the guidelines of CBSE

ASSESSMENT FOR GRADE I & II

  • Grades I & II will have two terms named: Term 1 and Term 2.
  • Term 1 includes April, May, June, July, August and September.
  • Term 2 includes October, November, December, January, February and March.
  • Grade I will have worksheet assessments. Two 20 marks WT in Term I and two 30 marks WT in Term 2
  • Grade II will have a worksheet assessment of 30 marks.
  • 3 Skill tests will be conducted four times a year for each subject. Skill tests will be based on classroom activities.

ASSESSMENT FOR GRADE III-V

  • Students will be graded on a 9-point grading scale for scholastic subjects and a 5-point grading scale for co-scholastic subjects.
  • Students will have two term exams: Term I and final exams.
  • Each Term Exam includes one periodic test. 20 marks for Grades III & IV and 30 marks for Grade V.
  • Assessment will also include Notebook maintenance (5 marks) and subject enrichment activity (10 marks) conducted in each term.
  • The weightage of the report card for Grand total will be as follows:
  • Each term is of 50 marks which will be as follows: 30 Marks of the term exam, 10 marks periodic tests, 5 marks subject subject-related activity that includes a Skill test or project work, and 5 marks Notebook evaluation.

 ASSESSMENT FOR GRADE VI-VIII

  • Students will be graded on a 9-point grading scale for scholastic subjects and a 5-point grading scale for co-scholastic subjects.
  • Students will have two term exams: Term I and final exams.
  • The Midterm Exam includes one periodic test in term I and two periodic tests in the Final term.
  • Assessment will also include Notebook maintenance (5 marks) and subject enrichment activity (10 marks) conducted in each term.
  • The weightage of the report card for Grand total will be as follows:
  • Each term is of 100 marks which will be as follows: 80 Marks of the term exam, 10 marks periodic tests, 5 marks subject subject-related activity, and 5 marks Notebook evaluation.

ASSESSMENT FOR GRADE IX-XII

  • Students will be graded on a 9-point grading scale for scholastic subjects and a 5-point grading scale for co-scholastic subjects.
  • Students will have two term exams: Term I and final exams.
  • The Midterm Exam includes one periodic test in term I and two periodic tests in the Final term.
  • Assessment will also include Notebook maintenance (5 marks) and subject enrichment activity and portfolio (10 marks) conducted in each term.
  • The weightage of the report card for Grand total will be as follows:
  • Each term is of 100 marks which will be as follows: 80 Marks of the term exam, 10 marks periodic tests, 5 marks subject subject-related activity, and 5 marks Notebook evaluation.
  • Grade X students will have 20 marks as internal assessment which includes periodic tests, Multiple assessments, portfolio and projects. 80 marks is a written test conducted by the CBSE board.
  • Grades XI & XII will have practical exams of 30 marks and 70 marks theory exam.
